2022 Pre-season

Sixty-four ladies representing nine clubs contested the WABLGA Pre-season event on 20th February 2022 at the challenging and well-presented Western Australian Golf Club course. 

The 2022 Club of Origin Winner was the host club WAGC with Julie Scott (35), Lisa Surman (35) and Bernadette Heavey (33) contributing to the total of 103 points.  This was consecutive wins for WAGC having been Club of Origin Winners in 2021 at Lake Karrinyup Country Club.

Maureen Thomas, WABLGA Life Member attended and assisted with the presentations of awards.

Club or Origin Runner up was Royal Fremantle Golf Club with Cherrie Grant (34), Jacs Scott (32) and Nicole Bertinshaw (32) contributing a total of 98 points.

Gross Winner was Julie Scott (WAGC) with 26 on a countback from Gross Runner-up Sue Palu (RFGC).

2022 Nett winner was Lisa Surman (WAGC) with 35.  Cherrie Grant (RFGC) was Nett runner up with 34.

WABLGA’s charity for 2020-2021 was Street Chaplains and two representatives were special guests for lunch and presentations.  Mr Daniel van de Spuy (Co-Director of Perth) presented an overview of Street Chaplains operations in Perth. The First Aid Trained volunteers patrol the Perth streets engaging with and assisting both distressed and at-risk patrons at night or rough sleepers during the day.
